Zechstein Magnesium Flakes are obtained by heating from Magnesium Oil. It forms the solid form of magnesium chloride, the magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2 6H2O) also called bishopite. The magnesium chloride concentration is 47%. Zechstein Magnesium Flakes are ideal as a bath additive for a magnesium bath. 1 g of magnesium flakes contain about 120 mg of pure magnesium.
